Kelly Sharp has worked for more than 25 years in marketing,
business operations and retailand always hoped to one day own her own
business. In 2011 she realized this
dream with the purchase of the Heart of Iowa Market Place.
“The great thing about the store is that I get to meet so many interesting people who are proud of Iowa and want to share that pride with their friends and family. We are a small business, but we reach people across the country and nationwide, giving them a “Taste of Iowa,” she says.
An Iowa native, Sharp grew up in Des Moines and now lives in Pleasant Hill, along with her husband Denny and dog Allye. They have four children, Ryan, Cory, Abby and Josh and granddaughter Mia. One of her great passions is her dog Allye and horse Working Overtime “PayDay”, along with spending time with her family and friends.
