Rush Nigut advises businesses of all sizes from start-ups to established businesses including technology companies, contractors, manufacturers, cooperative associations and retail operations.  His combination of trial and business experience allows him to provide practical and effective business solutions for corporate and entrepreneurial clients.  Some of his services include:

  • Drafting business agreements
  • Advising employers in employment matters
  • Training employers in ways to avoid harassment and discrimination
  • Advising buyers or sellers in purchasing or selling businesses
  • Reviewing Franchise Agreements and Uniform Offering Circulars (UFOC)
  • Representing clients as lead counsel in trials

Throughout his career, Rush has been active in civic and community affairs. The Des Moines Business Record named Rush to the 2006 class of Des Moines' Forty Under 40 community leaders. He is a 2000 graduate of the Des Moines Leadership Institute.  He is active as a coach in the Raccoon Valley Little League.  He is also a member of the Board of Directors for The Rooftop Foundation, a local non-profit organization dedicated to helping children of low-income families in the Des Moines area. 

Rush is a member of the Iowa State Bar Association (former member Technology committee), Polk County Bar Association and the American Bar Association.  He graduated from Drake University Law School in 1994 and Simpson College in 1991 with a degree in Business Management.  He was born in Wurzburg, Germany.
