Rob Smith is principal architect at CMBA | Smith Metzger, located at 2111 Grand Ave. Suite 200 in Des Moines.
In his 35 years as an architect, Rob has earned a reputation for taking care of his clients. He watches every detail and spends his firm's money wisely. It is the same attitude he brings to every project. He monitors budgets closely and works hard to save his clients money. "It's a matter of principle," Rob says.
Listening to the clients' visions, Rob quickly grasps the tasks at hand. He partners with each client to define the issues and determining what needs to be done to solve the problem. His guiding principle is "The sooner we define the problem, the sooner we can solve it."
All of CMBA | Smith Metzger's 10 architects have achieved Leadership in Energy and Environmental Accredited Professional designations. The company's notable Central Iowa projects include the Des Moines YMCA metro facility, West Glen Joseph's jewelry store, Reiman Gardens in Ames and the Molengracht in Pella.
Rob loves to write about sustainable design, architecture and related subjects on his blog. Sometimes he even writes about yoga.
